Algeria later beat Ivory coast (The tornaments favorates) 3 - 2 to advance to the next stage. Egypt cruised past camerron at extra time 3 - 1 after settling for a fulltime 1 - 1 draw. it is like the egyptian always have thier way over the indomitable lions of cameroons. Nigerian luckily advanced to the semi finals on penalty (5 - 4) after settling for a full-time goaless draw in a game completely dominated by the zambian team. the semi final paring goes thus
